Welcome to our raffle!
To anybody who has just found us, we are raffling off items to raise money for our friends the Nobles, to help with the medical bills for their baby boy Lincoln. Lincoln was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, and after an initial surgery, was placed on the wait list for a heart transplant. He has been temporarily taken off due to a blood and lung infection. We are all hoping and praying for little Lincoln to pull through and be added back to his spot on the wait list.
The raffle will go through this weekend, with the drawing at 6pm Pacific time on Monday, September 5, 2011. Winners will be posted as soon as possible. If you would like to purchase a "ticket" for any of the items you see here, the cost is $5 per ticket. Please specify in the notes which item or items you are bidding on, and how many tickets for each. If wish to donate without purchasing tickets, please feel free, and make a note. We will accept donations through next week as well.
Thanks for coming to check us out! It is a very worthy cause. If you cannot donate, your thoughts and prayers are also very appreciated.

Coloring Tote
Next up is a kid's coloring tote!
Made from a green canvas tote bag, it has added on pockets that will perfectly fit 8 Twistable crayons (which don't melt in a hot car!) the larger crayons, or the Pip-Squeak markers. It has a flap to hold them in, and is lined with matching crayon fabric. It includes a 10 pack of Twistable crayons and an Ocean Adventure coloring book.

Beautiful Nursing Necklaces
Another lovely LLLady has contributed these gorgeous nursing necklaces! We will be doing two separate drawings for these, one for the set (you can keep them all or give some as gifts!) and one for the pendant pictured below.
Nursing necklaces keep busy little hands busy with something that is not tugging mama's hair, giving mama a dental exam or kneading the boob. They are also useful for distractababies who can focus on the beads or pendant rather than follow the cat across the room while still latched on.
These necklaces are light and easy to wear with most styles of clothing. Baby will like turning the beads and looking at the patterns. Mamas will like the soft faux suede cord and the neutral colours (and a chance to wear "something pretty").
Get one as a gift for an expecting mother or as respite for yourself. Attractive enough to wear even if your little one is no longer nursing.

Our first item - A beautiful necklace
We are finally rolling here! We will be listing items from now until September 2 and will do the drawings on September 5th. Unless stated otherwise in the listing, items will be mailed by September 20th. Once again, please include in your donation the item(s) you want to purchase your raffle tickets for. If you want to bid on more than one item, please let me know how to break up your tickets. Tickets are $5 apiece and will bless a deserving family through a very difficult time. And of course thoughts and prayers are always welcome as well, now that little Lincoln has been listed to receive a heart transplant.
Our first item up for the raffle is this gorgeous necklace donated by one of the LLLadies.
This handmade bird pendant necklace is 18" long with a metal toggle clasp. It is made of white shell and glass iridescent beads with metal bird spacers and a metal bird cutout pendant covered in white enamel. The center pendant is just under 1 and 1/2 inches in diameter. A small pearl and metal charm which reads "wish" also hang from the center of the necklace. The center pendant is secured with a metal jump ring and the entire necklace is strung on durable beading wire.

Welcome to LLLadies Aid!
Welcome to LLLadies Aid!
On June 13th, to the surprise of parents JoEllen and Jason Noble and big brother Logan, their newborn son was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Considered to be one of the most complex cardiac defects, Lincoln has already undergone his first surgery, the Norwood. In his future are perhaps weeks or months spent in the hospital, along with 2 more surgeries to help correct the defect, and essentially "build" the left side of his heart. As you can imagine, the expenses are likely to mount for quite some time. That is why we LLLadies have banded together to offer these items to be raffled off in order to help raise funds. Should you like to contribute, entries are $5 per ticket, with as many entries as you'd like. Please specify the item(s) you would like to be entered to win along with your payment, which you can send through paypal to LLLadiesaid@hotmail.com
If you would prefer to donate directly, please see our link to GiveForward.
Regardless of whether you are able to give financially, all prayers and good thoughts are welcome for the Noble family!
